Our client has an opening for a Statistical Reporting Manager in their Corporate Finance department at their office in Minnesota. The Statistical Reporting Manager will ensure that all statistical reporting requirements are completed accurately and in accordance with established deadlines to support the company’s compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for filings with states, boards, bureaus, and associations, and for responding to data calls received on an ad-hoc basis. He or she will provide direction and support to a department of 8-10 staff members, and represent the department as a stakeholder on enterprise-wide projects.  Responsibilities:
1) Oversees analysis and design of information, systems, and/or processes for: a) internal and external reporting; b) data capture and quality specifications; c) manual processing; d) representing the business community in the establishment of coding and reporting standards.
2) Utilizes extensive knowledge of insurance data, compliance requirements, and company source systems to direct the creation of solutions by coordinating resources, facilitating brainstorming, and driving the implementation of challenging solutions.
3) Maximizes department operational effectiveness within expense constraints. Prioritizes projects and allocates resources to react to changing environment. Works with management and staff to develop and achieve department and individual goals. Provides input to and monitors department budget. Communicates progress towards goals.
4) Manages, sustains, and improves staff by supporting the development of innovative procedures and programs that maximize staff performance. Establishes a collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and provides timely feedback to members. Encourages continual personal and professional development and advancement.
5) Manages multiple intra- and inter-departmental projects. Acts as a lead or in a technical advisor capacity in the definition and prioritization of project deliverables. Manages interdependencies and monitors the project progress communicating status to management and stakeholders.
6) Coordinates creation and dissemination of performance metrics and monitors results against these standards. Ensures the work product is timely and accurate, complete, balanced within identified variances, and meets objectives. Ensures data integrity through testing, profiling, and auditing.

Requirements:
Demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite and data profiling tools. Must be able to analyze information recognizing interdependencies, trends and anomalies, as well as understanding business implications. Knowledge of statistical reporting requirements (ISO and/or Lexus/Nexus). Strong interpersonal and project management skills. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills. Extensive insurance and corporate data source systems knowledge is mandatory.

Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree required. The ideal candidate will have 10 or more years of experience, with 5-7 years in a management role.Â
